Why Purchase A Disposable Underwater Camera?

By Pat Grier

A disposable underwater camera is a wonderfully inexpensive and useful purchase for anyone planning on going on a vacation or who travels frequently. They are made to be more sturdy than normal disposable camera models as they are constructed in order to keep water outside of the delicate internal area. This is much more inexpensive than a whole underwater camera model, which can cost upwards of fifteen hundred dollars. Underwater disposables are things that any traveler or vacationer should look into before going on their big trip or vacation.

While the main purpose for the underwater disposable is to take pictures beneath the water's surface, there are other places where this heavy-duty camera might be beneficial. Underwater disposables are great for using at the beach, the pool, or in the desert - where sand, sun, and water might prove to be a detriment to expensive digital equipment and lenses. In this fashion, the disposable underwater camera can be considered to be a total weather camera that is ready to take photos no matter how inclement the weather.

You can use your disposable underwater camera while doing a huge variety of outdoor activities. Some of which include fishing, snorkeling, or even surfing. Many disposable underwater cameras are waterproof up to 50 feet - so getting that memorable shot has never been easier.

When buying your underwater single use camera, be sure to look for one that is rugged and sturdy. Your camera should feature an easy to grip construction that will allow you to hold onto it easily, even if you're wearing gloves. The camera should also be small enough to fit in your pocket. There are multiple variations of the disposable underwater camera - all of which are preloaded with film and are usually 400 speed, and most have anywhere from 27-36 exposures. Don't plan to spend too much on this camera, as most are priced at under $20, many even lower. Many retailers will offer bundle packages of three or more cameras at a discount.

With this type of camera, keep in mind that purchasing name brand does not mean you are getting a higher quality. There are extensive off-brand disposable underwater cameras that work just as well as the more well-known names that are available. You should also look for a camera model that has a flash function in order to get really good underwater pictures. Additionally, keeping the sun is behind you when taking underwater photographs will allow you to get clearer images with the disposable underwater camera. - 29943

Can Winning the Lotto Be Good Or Bad

By Sian Lloyd

We all fantasize about hitting the big one, or hope that we could fall into instant riches by simply selecting the proper winning lottery numbers or allowing them to be at random generated from a computerized lotto machine onto a little scrap of paper, but it has always been said that we deserve to be very careful about what we hope for as everything comes with a price, together with winning the lottery, especially when it involves winning millions of greenbacks. The actual chances of turning into a multimillion dollar lottery winner are astronomical to begin with, but when fate interrupts, a miracle things can happen which will forever change someone's life, for good or bad.

Although huge winnings can change someone's life style seriously, it is said that if you were ecstatic before winning a massive sum of cash, then you will be ecstatic afterwards, but if you were a very sad person to begin with, winning a multimillion greenback jackpot will change nothing apart from the scale of your deposit account. Put simply the issues you had are still lying in wait to rear their vile head, and the lottery money only briefly covers up the issues for a quick period.

Who in his right mind wouldn't be completely happy in winning a big multi-million greenback lottery? Some folk play the lotto on occasion. But there are hordes of folks that have incorporated the acquisition of lottery tickets into their daily routines.

Whether you play expressly for amusement purposes, or to catapult a splendid lifestyle, the results of landing a windfall in the lottery can bring more heartache than relief.

The difficulty WITH THE LOTTERY...

Demographic proof have dictated in the past that the heaviest lotto contributors are usually the most impoverished members of society. It can also be asserted that those who are the most anxious for a huge break are those that are essentially providing that big "break" to others who finally win.

The lottery, which is fundamentally gambling run by the state, is used to fund causes like education. The bulk of the monies paid out is dedicated to lottery prizes. The rest is divided amongst education funding, and the costs required to run the game itself. Thus, the lottery itself may not necessarily be corrupt. It is basically what is done with game prize cash that makes the tenet of a lottery debatable.

Experts have looked into the lives of past lottery winners and have found that not all multimillion dollar winners have a happy ending. A common issue within our society is the assumption that cash solves most of our issues. Another big issue is the absence of finance guidance when being handed over a massive amount of money. In fact virtually one third of multimillion greenback lottery winners become broke in just some short years after they're massive win.

If you're not used to having great wealth as many of these gigantic lottery winners weren't, then the issues that come with all of a sudden having a lot of money overnight can be so overwhelming that depression becomes inevitable. what is the probability of winning the lottery can really be fun. Chinese Peace Symbols Explained

By Lucy Xiu

The most unique thing about Chinese writing is that they are actually thoughts expressed through the symbols or characters rather than letters forming words with phonetics. The writing script which is known as Hans uses a huge number of 47,035 characters which are actually symbols and are put together in Chinese dictionary called Kangxi. In reality most of these character symbols have become obsolete.

The idea of peace holds a very special place in the Chinese symbols. The peace as perceived by Chinese character symbols is more of the feeling of happiness in the heart of the people rather than absence of war. They believe that this is what the human race is actually looking for.

The best thing the Chinese symbols offers to human race is the symbolization of peace. We all have our own ways of acquiring peace. Some people will do something as absurd as bungee jumping if it gives peace where as some will repent in front of God to attain it. Chinese people also have their own way of achieving peace.

The peace symbol in China has tremendous value and you will see extensive use of this symbol in all walks of life in China. The Chinese have a firm belief that these symbols are a means of attracting the good thing in life. Peace is one thing which the whole human race is searching for all the time.

The Chinese history is a witness as to how Chinese people as a nation use the symbols for their own good especially the peace symbol. What is the concept which the Chinese follow with the peace symbol? Well they feel that if you are surrounded by the peace symbol you will reach inner peace.

As you take a look at Chinese society you will find that the character of peace symbol is not the only one which is so popular to get positive things in the lives of the people. There are other symbols, the character of which you will find in shops, cars, offices, homes like the characters of blessing symbols and symbols of good fortune.

The Chinese peace symbol has found a special place not only in the Chinese society but all over the world. Especially the western world is captivated by the peace symbolism as that is what is most important in everyone's mind right now.

The young people today feel that the concept of peace is really cool in the west. The wonderful peace symbol which has now been discovered by the western world appears to be highly meaningful as well as chic by their artistic formation. Therefore now you will come across fashion gears and accessories carrying the peace symbol and they sell in huge quantity in the west.

But it is to be remembered that the Chinese have their own perception of peace as compared to the west from these symbols and this belief is what they have been following since ancient times. - 29943

Beat Maker Software

By Mickey Roukeayeal

If you want to make hip hop beats or techno beats or anything between, then you will need some beat maker software. This is specialized software used to help you make the fattest beats in the shortest amount of time. Let me be extremely specific about this point because this is vital.

in the past, you had to buy an expensive computer, a pricey hard-drive, an expensive hardware package and an expensive software package just so you might throw together a descent beat. But that was not all. In order to mix the beat, you had to have a large amount of experience with mixing down multiple tracks and making them all sound ideal and...and...well you get the picture.

during the past few years, new software has been developed by assorted corporations that allow you to access their beat makers on the internet. Not only that, but you get to access it without any hardware, any downloaded software and you also have access to a library of different beat maker sounds, like hi-hats, drum sounds, bass sounds, piano parts and more.

The most superb part is that all this is going to be under $50. That is's pretty extraordinary considering that only a few years back you had to spend a lot, and not just that, find out how to use the gear you simply purchased. These new beat maker programmes are so simple to use that you just sign-in and get to work.

The better part is that you'll be making beats in mere mins. Now understand that it's not that I am saying this is the end-all be-all of beat making. There are beat maker programs out there that are really dear and worth every penny. But unless you are Kanye West or Dr. Dre, I recommend that you start little and think huge.

The final point i want to make is that beat software is not intending to make the musician. Actually it's typically the other way around. In other words, you can't get your talent. You either have it or you do not, so the best way to find out if you have what's needed to make a solid rap or hiphop beat is to focus on an easy piece of software that will permit you to do what you do best, which hopefully is make a solid beat.

How You Can Play Ponticello

By Clayton Haslop

A couple days ago I received a query asking how to play ponticello easily and to great effect. Now in case you don't already know, ponticello is a kind of special effect. And it is produced when the bow tracks so close to the bridge that the string is forced to produce higher frequencies than are part of the normal overtone series. The result is a kind of eerie, slightly scratchy color to the sound.

Now, there are two issues that make the execution of this effect a little more challenging than drawing a straight tone.

First, it is critical that the bow track right next to the bridge, without the slightest deviation. You may have noticed that when you draw a normal tone the bow can move back and forth between bridge and fingerboard somewhat without negatively impacting the sound - one does like to avoid this. As soon as the bow wanders from the bridge in ponticello, however, the effect disappears immediately.

The second issue is control. Because the bow is not fully 'in the string,' as we say in string parlance, there is, in fact, a greater tendency for hidden tensions in the bow arm to manifest in just the wandering mentioned above.

Sometimes, in the case of the bow suddenly passing OVER the bridge - and this happens to everyone at one time or another - this tightening can lead to an alarming result.

The question is how to practice this technique so it becomes secure and well behaved without the counter-productive tensions mentioned above.

First thing I would do is slow, quiet, long bows ponticello - that is, with the bow right next to the bridge - to get in touch with the bow stroke, from tip to frog. Once you've gotten a sense of the bow placement and the relaxed unfolding of the bow arm, you can begin playing some scales and arpeggios using the entire length of the bow; very smooth, no spaces between the notes. At first you may want to play single notes per bow. As the ease of maintaining bow control increases, however, I suggest you slur notes together, reaching eight or twelve to a stroke.

Gradually you will also increase the weight on the string - relaxed arm weight.

Now ponticello is also often called for in combination with tremolo, a fast, repeated, and unmeasured stroking of one note. To practice this variant I recommend arriving at tremolo by starting at a slow rate of speed using just the forearm, in the upper half of the bow. From there gradually increase the speed and narrow the travel of the bow. As you stroke more rapidly, again add arm weight to reach a dynamic of forte.

The secret to adding tremolo successfully goes back to the purity of your detach, really. Understand that I do not use my wrist - unless I'm feeling quite lazy - to produce my tremolo; simply the forearm. And for this the elbow joint must be absolutely free of restriction.

Ponticello really forces you to separate the vertical weight of the arm from the relaxed horizontal movements of the arm. It requires absolute freedom in the joints of the right arm. And these together make it an excellent tool for sharpening the efficiency and purity of your bow arm. - 29943

The Panasonic Viera TX-P42X10 Our View Of It

By Pat Allen

The Panasonic TX-P42X10 is a top choice for those who are looking for a large screen for watching films or playing computer games. However, it is also a great option for those who do not have a lot of cash to spend but also want to get the most out of the advantages of a higher end home entertainment system.

With a 42 inch diagonal screen size, the Panasonic TX-P42X10 is amongst the bigger of the televisions you can get on the market today and while rather bulky, it certainly provides great playback of movies, offering you the perfect budget centrepiece to a decent home cinema system.

One of the most attractive factors in the specification of the TX-P42X10 is that it has a refresh rate of 100 Hz. Normally, flat televisions have a maximum refresh rate of 50 Hz. If this doesn't mean anything to you, 100 Hz basically means there is going to be far less flickering on the screen and the image is going to appear smoother regardless of what you are playing whether it is video games, older lower definition video content of the latest in high definition content.

One thing of note which may be off putting to some people, is at the Panasonic TX-P42X10 is not full HD. This means that it does not have the highest resolution to allow playback of the latest in high definition content of its native resolution. Rather, the screen is actually HD ready but in all honesty, many viewers will not even noticed the difference with a slight lack of resolution. Instead, quality is more important and this screen certainly has good picture processing techniques to compensate.

With some attractive options when it comes to picture processing techniques, the TX-P42X10 helps to minimize flicker and keep a really smooth image. It also includes Panasonic's revolutionary technology which allows the screen to adapt to its surroundings. Depending on the ambient light in the room, the screen will adjust its settings automatically which makes the screen wonderfully versatile, allowing you to use it just about anywhere in the house and get the most out of it.

As with many Panasonic TVs, the TX-P42X10 also comes with a number of other nice features. It has all the things you would expect such as a PC input and everything else but in addition to this, it also comes with an SD card reader. Although very minor feature, this certainly is a welcome addition since it allows you to simply put your memory card from your camera into the screen into the pictures directly on the screen.

If you are short on space, and don't want to buy an extra speaker system, then the Panasonic Viera TX-P42X10 already has a pretty respectable sound system built in, however in spite of this, if at all possible, you should upgrade to a midrange 5. 1 surround system to get the most out of your movie watching experience.

Concluding this, the Panasonic Viera TX-P42X10 performed quite well all round and you also don't have to worry about the added disadvantage is that LCD televisions tend to have such as a limited viewing angle. - 29943

The 5 Best Quarterbacks of the Last 10 Years

By Alex Madison

I can't believe we're almost done with yet another decade. In just several weeks, the end of the 00s will be behind us, and I'd like to take the time to look back at the decade that was, showcasing the best five NFL quarterbacks to have played football during these ten years.

These rankings will have more to do with the decade on a whole than they will with who's the best at the moment. Based on that, there's ample opportunity for the ordering of this list to change once each career is done.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this, and I'd love to hear any feedback if you happen to disagree with me. Here we go.

The fifth spot in these rankings goes to Kurt Warner. While it's true that he was weak during the middle of the decade, he's been one of the strongest in the NFL during the beginning and at the end of this decade. Having led the Rams and the Cardinals to Super Bowls, he's been exceptional - especially when you consider the usual demise of both franchises.

At number four, we have Brett Favre. While he may be a better career quarterback than another man or two on this list, this is simply about what he's done during the decade. Favre lacks the Super Bowl appearance that others do here, though that could change by season's end.

Donovan McNabb may not be better for his career than Favre, but the decade has been a better one for McNabb without a doubt. He's come one game away from the Super Bowl five times and it's clear that he's been the most consistent NFC quarterback during this span.

Next up is Tom Brady, who easily could have captured the number one spot on this list if not for his season ending injury and Peyton Manning's recent dominance. Still, many might argue for at number one but I believe that Manning's simply been a bit better.

Lastly, Peyton Manning is already being spoken of as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game of football, and some are beginning to believe that he may in fact be the best. He led the Colts to a Super Bowl, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him win another one. - 29943

Take a look at some movie reviews we have prepared. If you are looking for a movie download site here are some phrases to search. You can try to search a term like "DVD Movies Downloads", if you want some more, use "New Movie Download" and "Download Movies Online".

The General: Boorman inscribed this personality research of a true story about a Dublin felon known as the General, who avoided being captured for years. Following his own skewed set of morals, he masterminds robberies both big and small, refuses to trust anyone, cherishes 2 ladies simultaneously, and matches brains with a tough nosed cop (Voight) who is out to catch him. Cast includes Brendan Gleeson, Jon Voight, Adrian Dunbar, Sean McGinley, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Angeline Ball, and Eamonn Owens. (124 minutes,'98)

Jurassic Park III: This amusing popcorn film that takes a scenario and plays it for all it's worth as professor-paleontologist Neill is convinced to lead an expedition to the prohibited island where dinosaurs wander, however obviously he hasn't been informed of the realities. The movie is full of scares, and lots of fun proving that a thriller doesn't have to be dumb. Cast includes Sam Neill, William H. Macy, Tea Leoni, Alessandro Nivola, Trevor Morgan, Michael Jeter, John Diehl, and Bruce A. Young. (93 minutes, 2001)

La Petit Lili: A family's country house is charged with sentiment while the hotheaded child, a yearning film maker actor, finds that his lady friend is captivated with his mom's boyfriend, a triumphant head of mainstream films. Brilliant film empowered by Chekhov's The Seagull, investigating the line between art and life, and how the 2 influence each other. Cast includes Nicole Garcia, Bernard Giraudeau, Jean-Pierre Marielle, Ludivine Sagnier, Robinson Steveniu, Julie Depardieu, Yves Jacques, and Michel Piccoli. (104 minutes, 2003)

The Little Thief: So-so personality picture of the title lass, a disassociated, amoral adolescent floating through life in postwar France. If she comes off as a girl Antoine Doinel, it's since the original tale was co-written by Francois Truffuut, who was allegedly preparing to film this at the time of his demise. Cast includes Charlotte Gainsbourg, Didier Bezace, Simon de la Brosse, Nathalie Cardone, and Raoul Billerey. (104 minutes,'89)

Cuban Rebel Girls: This is Flynn's last film, and is an embarrassment. Playing himself, he assists Fidel Castro in his overthrow of Batista. The film is filmed on location throughout the Castro rebellion. Of interest only to see Flynn teamed with his very last lady friend, sixteen-year-old Aadland. Cast includes Errol Flynn, Beverly Aadland, John McKay, and Marie Edmund. (68 minutes,'59)

Rambo: Much better than part II, this one continues to be firmly footed in the genre of mindless action films, as our brawny idol goes behind Russian battle lines in Afghanistan to save his buddy from a prison fortress. You will see lots of eruptions to keep the action going and some funny stuff thrown in too. Cast includes Sylvester Stallone, Richard Crenna, Marc de Jonge, Kurtwood Smith, Spiros Focas, and Sasson Gabai. (101 minutes,'88)

Barfly: A surprisingly entertaining portrayal of L.A. lowlife, and boozy, recklessly macho author Henry Chinaski, played with bravado by Rourke. Dunaway is magnificent as his alcoholic soul mate. Based on the autobiographical writings of cult top choice Charles Bukowski, who might be noticed on one of the bar stools. Cast includes Mickey Rourke, Faye Dunaway, Alice Krige, Jack Nance, J.C. Quinn, and Frank Stallone. (97 minutes,'87)

Thieves like Us: 3 black sheep flee from jail in'30s south and go on a binge. The youngest (Carradine) falls in love with an easy, ignorant gal (Duvall). Product Review - Singorama

By Melodee Formosa

One of the many constants in our world is music. And it is one tricky matter as well. For the last fifty years, the music industry has been idealized and many artists are glorified... making each and every viewer want to be one of them or at at least be part of the industry.

Music can make you popular, it can even make you rich... but there is more to music than fame and money-making vehicle image that the media has painted to it. Music can bring you fulfillment, to be able to get your message across through your music is fulfilling. You can also be an inspiration and a light to others who need them most. Music helps brain development, it also hones social and emotional skills.

Due to lack of funding, music classes are being taken out of school curriculum across America. But to those who really are passionate to learn and make music, self-study is the next resort. Good thing is that you can get lessons from great vocal teachers. Best thing is that you can actually learn how to sing from home with singing book guides and software.

One of the best singing guides that you can find out there is "Singorama." It claims to be able to help you learn how to sing like a professional singer. Singorama has a two-part program. A beginner's book and advanced book. It also comes with a "Singorama Mini Recording Studio" that trains the users musical ears, as well as helps the users with the exercises. You also get to receive a bonus access to an e-book called "The Ultimate Guide To Reading Music."

The beginner's book talks about the history of music and the definition of singing. It also talks about how a sound is being produced and how your body parts affect the quality of your voice. The beginner's book is basically about art of music and the science of singing. Emily Mander, the writer of the book, put stress on the importance of learning the art and science in learning how to sing. The approach can benefit all those who takes singing seriously and want a clear and better understanding about the voice mechanism.

The fundamentals of music, discovering your singing voice, identifying your vocal range, the difference between tone and pitch, the concepts and jargon of music are the things you can learn from Singorama. These things are in fact the building blocks of your future singing prowess.

Second good point of this program, the lessons are followed up by exercises with audio tools. The book not only approach the study through theory but through practice as well. For a better understanding of what was discussed in one chapter, you are given the chance to listen to an example. Say, the book just explained how to try the lip roll exercise. There would be a clear step-by-step instruction on how to form your lips and the like. Then, an audio example is given for you to determine if what you are doing is whether right or wrong.

Not only that, Singorama also provides the user a Virtual Piano, to figure out notes and hone singing techniques, and a Mini Recording Studio to review all the efforts.

The third good point of the "Singorama!" is its teaching style. The manner it was written makes the commitment to music so much more bearable. You would actually think that you are under the wing of a great voice teacher, who is knowledgeable and effective. The language used in the books series is easy to understand. Although there were some musical jargon, they were all been explained and discussed methodically and reviewed at the end of every chapter. Some questions you will probably raise if it were a live class have been anticipated and answered in the entire series.

There's only one drawback though. Singorama is too detailed that you might find the other topics unnecessary and boring. Learning how to sing with Singorama actually requires commitment and diligence. So if you're seeing music as a career, the Singorama product is for you. It is made to give you deep analysis of singing and your singing voice.

Overall, "Singorama!" is a good deal. In spite of it being heavy on the theory and technical aspect of singing, the meticulousness gives you your money's worth. Emily Mander has included a myriad of advices to help you find your own voice, your own style, and your own will to succeed. Like what she said in her introductory piece, "this book is ultimately about your voice, your singing, and your musical future! - 29943

HGH Sprays vs HGH Pills

By Tom William

The discovery of oral HGH spray is actually done by Serendipity. A group of scientists and doctors at the Anti Aging Research Lab discovered that they could obtain HGH molecule that absorbs in the same way scientists try to get absorbed insulin molecule, which is half the size of the HGH molecule. Used a process called cross-linking. HGH is by its nature, is twice the size of molecules of insulin, growth hormone is tapered in its cross-linking. It can be elongated without damage, its called molecular folding, like putting the nerf ball to the hole knot.

Many scientists have also claimed more than 10 years, high-dose injections of growth hormone, ultimately accelerate the aging process, when injected close.

And injection of one international unit is equivalent to 350,000 nanograms. 50,000 nanograms is the approximate amount produced by the body in 24-hour period. This means that the injection is 7 times the quantity normally produced in the body. High blood pressure can occur due to edema (water retention), which may cause too much HGH. If the dose is brought back to normal blood pressure.

Scientists do not know what the long-term effects of chronic overdose of HGH have been. It is possible that continuous HGH overdose can cause health problems, and this is especially problematic for people who regularly inject HGH. There are some documents that show that high levels of HGH can lead to heart problems, because many high-level professional athletes who are abusing HGH showed complications and even death due to cardiac levels of pollution.

In fact, the doses are extremely important for long term success of HGH. Not enough can not be given the necessary result and too much can cause health problems. Therefore, the addition of an oral HGH is probably the best choice for someone who is concerned about their long-term health.

Direct injection of HGH has also been shown that it is unnecessary because the body can not absorb the oral form of HGH, HGH, and lower doses may have some impressive health benefits, without long-term risk for health complications. - 29943

Ranking the Top Women in Pro Tennis Since'80

By Maggie King

Most of my articles focus on the state of men's tennis, but I'd like to talk about the women this time around. Many believe that it's the biggest women's sport in the world, and I would agree.

There are so many competitive matches and truly respectable players, and the last three decades have been characterized by some legends. I'm going to go through some of the best women's players during this span, in order.

Venus Williams has been one of the best players in modern tennis, and it's crazy to think about the fact that she finds herself at #7 here. With 10 grand slam wins, her career has been wildly successful. Perhaps the most impressive stat is her four Wimbledon titles.

After Venus is Justine Henin-Hardenne. I put her ahead of Venus because she was simply better, and won more slams in a shorter span. While she cut her career short, she's on the way back up now as she's returned to the sport.

Monica Seles was one of my favorite players growing up, and I'm still saddened by the fact that some deranged man decided to put a knife into her during the match. Her career was never the same after this, but she seriously dominated women's tennis before this happened.

4. Chris Evert. She ruled the'70s and part of the'80s, and had a long, successful career.' grand slams says it all.

After Seles is the other Williams sister, as Serena now has more grand slams, not to mention the fact that she's younger than Venus. The last few years have been dominated by Serena ever since Henin retired, and she still has a handful of good years ahead of her.

2. Martina Navratilova. What an outstanding career she had, and she just never seemed to go away.' grand slams and a shining career.

Lastly, we have Steffi Graf, who I like to call the queen of modern tennis. She has more grand slams than anyone else with 22, and she was simply incredible. - 29943

How To Choose The Best Wedding Band For Your Special Day

By Stuart Clarke

When you need a good band for weddings you can find them easily by using the online search engines such as Google and Yahoo. The search engines will provide you with a great many interesting link results.

After searching and finding so many results, how to choose the right band from among them? Well first you need to consider the type of music you prefer whether you enjoy listening to pop, rock, country, jazz or soul music.

You will need to determine how you want your music. For instance is there a particular era or band you favor or do you just want a general mixture of music? For example, if you prefer jazz music you will simply search for jazz band.

Keep in mind that some bands may not necessarily advertise themselves as a wedding band, since bands tend to play at different locations such as for company functions, parties of all sorts, special event as well as many others.

So don't exclude these bands just because they don't advertise themselves as a wedding band as long as they have previous experience of playing at weddings then this is fine.

The secret of finding a good band is not as hard as you think. Any good band is probably on the internet either with a website or social networking page. They also will probably have videos or mp3s of their songs for you to browse through.

Next thing to look out for is a list of past venues they have played at so you can ring these venues to get an unbiased view of the band. Lastly if a bands website sounds and looks professional and comes with good views then you are on to a sure winner.

Keep in mind there are a few things you need to do before hiring a wedding band. Before hiring a wedding band, agreeing on the costs and choosing the songs you want to hear, you need to get more information about your event location. For instance, make sure that they do have a live band license and that there is ample parking space to accommodate the band and all their heavy equipment. You need to ensure these and other things before paying anything for the event location or the wedding band.

You also need to make sure there are plenty of available space on stage as well as having access to all the power outlets they need. Also check to make sure that they have a changing room and find out if the location of your event uses a power limiter that can cut off the power when a band gets too loud. If they do make sure you tell the band so they know about the situation as well. - 29943

Astronomy For Teens.

By Colin Jones

Astronomy is a very exact science, although a lot of people get involved with it when they are very young. Astronomy is a thought-provoking pursuit that can teach children about the sciences in general. A number of astronomical subjects inspire kids and movies like Star Wars and they only serve to increase this attraction.

The Earth's nearest neighbour is the moon. Its journey around the Earth takes just over twenty-seven days to complete. Mankind has only ever set foot on the Earth and the moon. The gravity between the moon and Earth causes the tides. Its brightness in the night sky encourages many children to want to study more about it and the subject of astronomy in general.

Let's consider the sun. Earth is quite far from the sun, although the distance actually fluctuates between about 91 million miles and about 94 million miles. The reason for this variance is because of Earth's elliptical orbit. Life on Earth is only possible because of the sun, which is our source of important elements such as light and heat. A little-known fact is that the sun contains about 98% of the mass of the whole solar system! Just think about how small a person is compared to that.

Our planet is in the galaxy called the Milky Way. Like all other galaxies it's a very large collection of gas, dust, stars and planets. Most of the area in a galaxy is filled with nothing, only empty space. That means that most of its volume, 3,000 light years high by 100,000 light years diameter, the volume of our galaxy, is nothingness.

Our Earth is located somewhere in the neighbourhood of 30,000 light years from the very centre of our galaxy. The emptiness is broken up by over 100 billion stars. In fact, the galaxy was named for the thick group of stars in the main section of it.

It looks like a pool of liquid, which is why it was called the Milky Way. There are four kinds of galaxies: elliptical, lenticular, irregular and, like the Milky Way, spiral.

There is a great deal of information on astronomy on the Internet that is fit for children: from dictionaries and encyclopaedic references to programs that show the paths of the different planets, solar systems and objects right on the computer's monitor! In deed, there's more information than a child could ever get through. - 29943

5 Incredibly Watchable Movies That Will Change Your Life.

By James Dolson

What exactly does it mean when you stumble upon a movie that changes your life? One critic defined it as the ultimate in perspective shift, something that really comes along and shakes the foundations of how you view the world.

Check out this list of 5 that I've compiled here, and see why these ones are compulsively viewable but still insanely powerful at the same time.

#5: A Template for Spectacle -- Triumph of the Will.

All film is spectacle, it has been said, and there was no larger and more grotesque spectacle than Hitler and his Nazi party. This film celebrates them with movie techniques that were pioneering in its day, and since it is such a celebration of his party, it is so ultimately disturbing that it alters how you see 'tribute' films forever.

#4: Neo-Realism At Its Best -- Bicycle Thieves.

If you ever need to be reminded of the power contained in simple, straightforward stories, this is your film. It's entirely of its place -- set in post-war Rome when Italy was rife with poverty and hardship -- but it's also eternal. Proof that beautiful narratives can be made from anything and anywhere, if you're good enough.

#3: Polanski Figures Out Corruption in Chinatown.

Polanski, despite the mess he created for himself before leaving America, made what is undoubtedly one of the best American films of all time. This might just be one of those movies that says more about Hollywood than any other, which is important if you ever think about what the movies 'mean' to us.

#2: Vertigo.

A wonderful thriller that also happens to be all about falling in love, idealizing women (or men), wanting other people to conform to our expectations, and an examination of the director's role in shaping how a movie is made. No other film is so good both on its surface and in its multiple layers of meaning at the same time.

#1: The Godfather.

You can almost never get tired of this film, it is that good on first go -- nearly every scene is legendarily filmed, acted, and executed, and then the fact that it happens to convey some grand and great things about America is almost like a bonus, until that becomes the reason you return to it 50 times. - 29943

A WoW Mage Leveling Spec for Reaching Level 80

By Mike Thomas

Creating a good WoW Mage Leveling Spec is dependent on having a build that can do a lot of damage and attack often.Making sure there is very little down time between battles is an ideal situationIf there is too much down time, then either damage is being taken or too much mana is being used to take out mobs.

Before deciding on your Wow Mage leveling spec, you must first be knowledgeable about the spells available to a mage in World of Warcraft. The fire tree of spells is one of the primary spell trees. These fire based attacks are great for doing damage. The next tree of spells a mage should know about are the spells in the frost tree. Frost tree spells lack the damage of fire tree spells, but are helpful in slowing down enemies movement. Arcane spells make up the final tree of spells for mages. Arcane spells are not typically used to damage targets, but help the mage in other ways.

The fire tree of spells is what most of the good WoW Mage Leveling specs focus on. Damage per second is better for fire spells than it is for arcane and frost spells. Higher damage per second normally means enemies are dying fast. The chances of taking damage are greatly reduced when enemies die fast. Taking less damage is always a good thing and leads to less down time between battles. Being a death dealing machine helps improve survival.

Spells from the frost tree are good for surivial, but do not do nearly as much damage as the fire spells. You never have to worry about a dead enemy dealing any more damage. Quickly dispatching an enemy leads to faster leveling for a mage in World of Warcraft.

Another important part of any WoW Mage Leveling spec is power that make attack spells even more potent Spells like Ignite and Impact alone are not real strong, but if they are combined with powerful spells like Blast Wave or Flamestrike, they inflict additional damage and can also stun enemies.Another good example is Flame Throwing which gives the mage additional range on fire spells. - 29943

By Marsha Bristol

Every year, the big question for parents across the nation is "What do kids want for Christmas this year?" This year, the answer is easy! Bakugan, based on the popular kids anime show "Bakugan Battle Brawlers," is the hot new game that kids want, and is a great game for the whole family to enjoy.

These extra features include twelve, not one, but twelve different types of card games. This game is a combination of fantastic graphics, the mystery of card games, and a lot more dynamism in terms of actions. Although Bakugan originated first in Japan, it has since then traveled to United States of America and Canada also. This game has tremendous demand, and storekeepers are finding it hard to keep it in stock.

Due to its gaining popularity, the Bakugan Battle Pack is no more a mere toy that children play with. It has becomes a full-fledged virtual phenomenon on the internet with matches taking place between the different characters created through this product. Many youngsters indulge in trading the different figures to enhance their collection. Some of the characters include Wavern, Gargonoid, and Ravenoid.

The Bakugan Battle pack games are creations inspired by a popular television show known as Bakugan Battle Brawlers. The game consists of fights amongst the different characters of the pack until one emerges victorious. This requires a considerable amount of concentration and thinking that children from age 4 and above indulge in all the time. If you want your kids to enjoy ripping off their presents, make sure you have a Bakugan Battle Pack wrapped in it.

The Bakugan Battle Pack consists of marbles and gate cards. The marbles are magnetic spherical containers that must be rolled onto the metal gate cards in order to release the Bakugan that is held within. Different marbles will contain different Bakugan and these will do battle with each other. This is very similar in concept to the popular Pokemon games in the past. The Bakugan will both be awarded points, according to instructions on the card, and the player who has the higher amount of points will win the card and place it on his used stack.

As kids learn to play, they develop strategies to benefit themselves, while blocking their opponents from getting points. This strategic thinking can cross over to other games and situations, as well, making the game a great tool for logical thinking development for kids.

All you need to do to win a game of Bakugan Battle against your opponent is make sure that you manage to place your Bakugan on a card and then fight the opponent until he is defeated. The game has achieved considerable consumer appreciation. Therefore, it is a perfect gift for your child this year in as a Christmas present. - 29943

Apartments Los Cristianos Offer A Laid-Back Holiday

By Lorenzo Jacabo

The Island of Tenerife is the largest in the Canary Island Chain, as such it is a popular holiday spot and apartments in Los Cristianos offer the visitor a more laid-back holiday. It is situated close to Playa de las Americas, a vibrant, lively, large resort, but far enough away to offer the vacationer a more peaceful experience.

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and Los Cristianos is situated on the south-west side of this island. Even though it is much quieter here than many of the other resorts on Tenerife, it is still a popular place for visitors. It is a modern day resort which grew from a sleepy fishing village, but fortunately still retains some of its former charm.

This resort is situated in a sheltered bay and still has a working harbor. The harbor is surrounded by shops, hotels and apartments and is fronted by a square. The promenade stretches all the way across and reaches as far as Playa de las Americas.

The main thoroughfare is a pedestrian only street and is part of the old town. Local people still live in this part of town! The best beaches on the island are man-made with dessert sand imported from the Sahara, and the best beach is Playa de las Vistas in Playa de las Americas. It is only a short taxi drive from Los Cristianos, and makes for a great day out.

Tenerife offers the joys of low duty and duty free shopping where visitors are able to quite literally shop till they drop in the many stores. Cultured pearls and handicrafts are a favorite for souvenir hunters, but liberal spending on tobacco, perfumes, cameras, designer clothing and electrical goods goes on too.

The San Eugene center is a shoppers paradise and you will find plenty of British brand names here. There is also a street market held in Los Cristianos on a Sunday and this is popular with shoppers who enjoy a good haggle to get a bargain.

There is a large variety of restaurants where holiday makers are able to enjoy meals of all different types, from the well known English breakfast to Chinese and even Mexican foods. There are also some discos, nightclubs and fun pubs but nothing as exciting as those found in nearby Playa de las Americas. - 29943

The Page Turner: A 1O-year-old gal who is committed to becoming a piano genius auditions for a music scholarship, but is turned down by the dean of the school. 10 years later she puts herself into the same ladies home, gets the family to trust her, and plans her revenge. Cast includes Catherine Frot, Deborah Francois, Pascal Gregory, Xavier de Guillebon, Christine Citi, and Jacques Bonnaffe. (85 minutes, 2006)

Ice Age: In this animation comedy we find ourselves viewing the blight of the animals as the ice age is descending upon them. An unlikely quartet of animals, Manny the wooly mammoth, Sid the sloth, Diego the saber toothed tiger, and Scrat the prehistoric squirrel, must find their way to warmer places before the ice age ends their lives. They battle the element, and devious attacks from other animals to try and survive the ice age.

Inferno: American returns to N.Y. from school in Rome to examine the hideous death of his sibling, and finds "sinister moms" wreaking paranormal chaos on both sides of Atlantic. Surreal, spellbinding shocker by Italian terror maestro Argento doesn't make much sense, but it has a lot of style. Cast includes Leigh McCloskey, Irene Marvel, Sacha Pitoeff, Daria Nicolodi, Eleonora Giorgi, Veronica Lazar, and Alida Valli. (107 minutes,'84)

Addams Family Values: The Addams family is back again with all the ghouls in force. This time a beautiful woman plans to marry cousin 'It' to swindle him out of his money. Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, Christopher Lloyd, Joan Cusack, and Christina Ricci star. (1993 comedy directed by Barry Sonnenfeld)

Believe in Me: Donovan moves to a tiny Oklahoma town in'64 to take a teaching job, although when he arrives he learns he's been assigned to coach the girls basketball team. What's more, the girls have no self respect and little help from the school. Genuine heartland tale ascends above its recognizable underdog recipe. Donovan and Mathis as his supportive spouse are first rate. Cast includes Jeffrey Donovan, Samantha Mathis, Bruce Dem, Bob Gunton, Heather Matarazzo, Alicia Lagano, and Chris Ellis. (108 minutes, 2007)

Bed Book and Candle: A John Van Druten play turns into so-so platform to showcase Novak as a sorceress who charms soon to be married Manhattan publisher Stewart. Kovacs and Gingold show off their comedic capabilities. Cast includes James Stewart, Kim Novak, Jack Lemmon, Janice Rule, Ernie Kovacs, Hermione Gingold, and Elsa Lanchester. (103 minutes,'58)

Prospero's Books: At first challenging although unsatisfactory adaptation of Shakespeare's The Tempest, with most of the dialog mentioned by 87-year-old Gielgud (in the role of Prospero); the other performers are little more than an add on, and there's a mind boggling amount of nudity. The film is stuffed with shocking, layered imagery, attractive production layout and cinematography. Pleasure can rely on your patience for Greenaway's approach to the material. Cast includes John Gielgud, Michael Clark, Michel Blanc, Isabelle Pasco, and Tom Bell. (129 minutes,'91)

Budget in a Box Home Theater Systems

By Miles Stoppard

Parts of audio systems consist of satellite speakers, a central speaker, a subwoofer and some sort of a receiver. The savvy online shopper will want to do some research on the various types of systems available and the price ranges. One option for consideration are home theater box packages. There are some terrific systems available at reasonable prices and it is convenient for the new buyer to have all of the components in one package.

The Onkyo SKS-HT870 is a budget in a box package that bears looking into. The AV receiver and a group of speakers come in this set. It provides large sound and impressive quality for a very reasonable price. The one drawback mentioned in some reviews is the look of the system; some describe it as a bit of a throwback to the'70's with a big boxy look. If budget is important to the buyer, it may be quite easy to overlook a little bit of retro faade.

The Onkyo comes with two slender tower-type speakers, four satellite speakers, a center channel speaker, and of course, a subwoofer. All speakers have fiberboard cabinetry and the finish is black wood-grain, hence the 70's type style. Black cloth covers front the speakers and these covers are not removable as some speaker covers are. This system has terrific sound, both in audio from DVD's and Blu-rays, or when listening to music CD's. The sound is spread evenly throughout the speaker system and the subwoofer does it job in defining the sound. The performance far belies the almost cheap price tag and makes it a superb choice for the first home theater buyer.

Another great option in the inexpensive box home theatre system area is the Energy Take Classic 5.1 Home Theater System. This company is known for making great small speakers and this holds true in this home theatre system. At a retail price of about $600, it is a little more expensive than the Onkyo system, but not by much. What is even more interesting is that this system is an upgraded version of the original Take 5 system and actually sells for about $200 less than the first system did over 10 years ago.

Black laminate speakers and subwoofer with a shiny finish are the design elements of the Energy Take system. This home theatre combination literally rocks with huge sound and a fully balanced pairing between the speakers and the subwoofer. Music CD's resound with layers of sound. When enjoying a movie on DVD or Blu-ray, Energy Take provides crisp clear dialogue and the right mix of background sound. The subtle sounds that make movies great, like stairs creaking and twigs snapping, all come through loud and clear. This is a credit to this company's expertise in producing great small speakers.

No home theater recreates the movie theater experience unless all parts of audio systems are synced to work together in perfect harmony. The systems reviewed in this article do yeoman's work for very little cost. When many home theater systems on the market today are listing at well above $1000, these two budget systems are well worth further review and consideration. - 29943

The Atlanta Hawks Look to Make Strides in '09-'10 Season

By Joyce Fried

The Atlanta Hawks were a good team in the 08'-09' season. The Hawks were swept in the second round of the playoffs by the Cleveland Cavaliers - this would suggest the Hawks are yet to take the leap into one of the better Eastern Conference teams.

The Hawks finished second in the Southeast division behind the Orlando Magic with a 47-35 record and were swept in the second round of the playoffs. The first round win against the Miami Heat wasn't that impressive either - every win and loss was in the double digits.

The 08' playoffs against the Boston Celtics proved that the Atlanta Hawks were on the rise and should compete for the Eastern Conference Championship in the near future.

The Hawks did improve on their previous season - many feel the Hawks took a step backwards in 09'. Not being able to win 50 games in the Eastern Conference isn't very impressive by many accounts. If a team is a serious playoff threat -winning 50 games should be accomplished.

It will be very tough to over take the Orlando Magic in the Southeast division this season. While the Magic have some new pieces in place surrounding Dwight Howard - they are still the favorites.

Rounding out the team are other valuable pieces, which include the ever so talented Josh Smith, point guard Mike Bibby, newly acquired Jamal Crawford, rookie Jeff Teague, and others.

The only concern I see is the lack of scoring for this team. They must improve on putting up bigger points if they want to make some noise.

Look for the Hawks to build on their success from the last two years. This is a talented, young team that can't be slept on looking forward. Hawks fans have many reasons to be excited. - 29943

The Remastered Beatles

By Harold H. Quesenberry

It is hard for me to believe that 2009 has definitely been the year of The Beatles. Many Beatles dreams came true this year because their music was finally remastered for release on CD.

Beatles in Stereo Box Set

This box set has been the most popular Beatles release of 2009. It's been an enormous unit shifter and for good reason. It includes The Beatles complete 1960s discography in brilliantly digitally remastered stereo. These remastered Beatles albums sound absolutely wonderful (these CDs are definitely far superior to the 1987 mastered Beatles discs you likely own now.)

The really big improvement in comparison to the old CDs can be heard in the way McCartney's bass blasts through the mix like never before and Ringo's drums sound far better than they used to as well. Another big positive is being able to hear each individual vocal part with more clarity.

The Remastered Beatles Mono CD Box Set

The release that has gained the most attention of serious Beatles fans is The Beatles in Mono Box Set because it's the first time in many years that the original mono mixes of The Beatles music has been easily available.

Purist Beatles fans feel strongly that these mono mixes were the way the band's music was supposed to be enjoyed and these "purists" have a good reason to believe that. Mono was what most Beatles fans listened to in the '60s and it was the mono mixes that the band and it's producers spent the most time perfecting. Meanwhile, the band spent almost no time working on the stereo mixes up until The White Album.

Beatles in Stereo USB Stick

This Beatles USB is essentially a digital version of the remastered stereo box set. Along with the more well known mp3 files, it also includes super high quality 24bit FLAC files. Along with the obvious audio component, this USB stick also contains the visual elements from the stereo box set such as the thirteen mini documentaries, the extensive liner notes for each album, and the photographs.

The Apple USB stick is compatible with both PC and Mac computers. The mp3s that it includes should work with no problems with your mp3 player (whether it be a Zune, an iPod, or another machine.) - 29943
