Sweepstakes And Contests Are Each Exciting In Their Own Unique Way

By Trevor Johnson

There are some points of difference between sweepstakes and contests that you will need to be aware of before picking one or the other option. Sweepstakes are all about being lucky whereas contests are all about being more skillful than your competitors. Sweepstakes are as close to random as you can get: winning one really is "the luck of the draw". Whereas contests require at least a small amount of skill or thought.

However, sweepstakes are actually radically different to contests because there are no special skills required in order to win a sweepstakes. Contrast this to entering into a contest where only those with special skills are able to win while the rest will be left ruing their lack of skills.

There are many reasons why a person can become confused between sweepstakes and contests. This is because some sweepstakes are devised with a view to conning people into thinking that the sweepstakes are really contests and not games of chance or luck. Such claims can easily confuse you because often the packaging is so clever that it becomes very hard to distinguish between contests and sweepstakes.

Furthermore, by entering into a contest you can only hope to win if you have the required skills which you can however develop and improve through practice and by hard work. On the other hand, people that enter into sweepstakes can only hope to win based on how lucky they are. In such an activity you cannot hope to increase your chances of winning through hard work or by becoming more skillful. All you can do is follow the rules of the sweepstakes.

The best piece of advice that you can get is that if you do need to play sweepstakes then play the free ones that are so easily available over the internet. But, if you want better odds at winning then you should stick to contests and especially contests like a genuine puzzle which offers better chances of winning and so can prove to be more rewarding.

Once you have learned about the essential differences between sweepstakes and contests you will soon see that contests are not only better for you but there are also no risks involved. On the other hand sweepstakes can easily mean losing your money without having much of a realistic chance of winning. - 29943
