Tiki - The god Tiki is often shown with eyes closed. Tiki smells trouble prior to its arrival, and that is the main reason.

The Polynesian island inhabitants are wide spread. Their cultures include popular places are Samoa, Cook Islands, Easter Island, Tahiti, French Polynesia, Tonga, as well as Hawaii. Over thousands of years, the people across these islands developed their own distinct cultures.

It is quite interesting to recognize the similarities between cultures in the art of tattoo designs. In this day and age, Polynesian tattoo designs do not have the same significance because people love them for the design rather than magical protection or a statement of status.
