Knocked Up: A drunken, one-night-stand encounter between a young, attractive go getter Allison, and slovenly slacker Ben changes the tracks their lives are on. It turns out he didn't use the condom, and she's pregnant. Can these two actually become a couple and raise a child together?

I Never Sang for My Father: Tender adaptation of Robert Anderson play in reference to grown man (Hackman) faced with the problems involved in caring for his older dad (Douglas). Cast includes Melvyn Douglas, Gene Hackman, Dorothy Stickney, Estelle Parsons, Elizabeth Hubbard, and Lovelady Powell. (93 minutes, 1970)

Stranded: A few effective minutes can't uplift this unrewarding sci-fi entry in reference to foreigners who materialize to the planet, taking adolescent Skye and nana O'Sullivan hostage. Cast includes Joe Morton, Maureen O'Sullivan, Susan Barnes, Cameron Dye, Michael Greene, and Brendan Hughes. (80 minutes, 1987.

Report to the Commissioner: Newbie cop Moriarty inadvertently kills covert cop Blakely and gets to be embroiled in branch-wide cover-up. Vicious melodrama ranges from practical to overblown; tight however not unconditionally persuading. Cast includes Michael Moriarty, Yaphet Kotto, Susan Blakely, Hector Elizondo, Tony Baron, Michael McGuire, Dana Elcar, Robert Balaban, William Devane, Stephen Elliott, Richard Gere, Vie Tayback, and Sonny Grosso. Danton: Proficient, soaking up, knowing drama of Danton, Robespierre, and the Reign of Fear following the French Rebellion. This is a radiant film, with apparent resemblances to modern-day partisan circumstance in Poland. Depardieu is extraordinary in the title role. Cast includes Gerard Depardieu, Wojciech Pszoniak, Patrice Chereau, Angela Winkler, and Boguslaw Linda. (136 minutes, 1982)

The Shadow: This film is based on the 1930's comics. The Shadow is called into action when his fiercest rival Shiwan Khan is attempting to take over the world. Khan's plan is to hold a large city hostage with an atomic bomb, and through this take over the world.
