Warhammer Online has been out for over a year now, and I'm just getting around to trying it out. To help me out a bit and save some time, I obtained a guide that details leveling, making gold, RvR, and more.
Many could even go so far as to say that it is cheating. Well, I don't subscribe with that and I'll tell you why.
I've enjoyed a lot of games in my lifetime, and MMOG's have used up a large amount of my game playing time. I have tried out just about every one released over the last 11 years. The bad ones were only played for a day or so, while others have been played for years.
These games are steadily expanding as the years go by. They just get larger and larger, with more areas to inspect, quests to do and levels to attain. The measure of time it takes to play these games to fullest is huge! It takes much more time than it did years ago.
But as the years go by, I find myself with much less time to play than I used to have. I used to have loads of time to just sit down at the computer and play for hours on end, every single night.
These days, I'm lucky if I can play for five or six hours total in a week. I guess I'm just a lot busier than I used to be.
That's why having a Warhammer guide helps me get more out of the game. I can log in with my guide and play for an hour or so at a time and absolutely feel like I accomplished something. Without the guide, I use up so much time trying to figure out what to do and where to go, I just end up getting frustrated.
There's nothing bad with playing the game without a guide. It can be very satisfying to figure out everything on your own. I just don't have the time anymore to play that way.
